It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of Danielle Kurtzer to the role of Regional Vice President of our Charleston office, effective February 1, 2024. This is a significant milestone for Danielle and all of us at Roanoke, as she brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this pivotal role.

Danielle’s journey in the insurance industry is nothing short of inspiring. With over 30 years under her belt specializing in Surety Bonds, Cargo Insurance, and Property & Casualty Insurance, she has proven herself to be a formidable force in the field. Her tenure at Roanoke began over nine years ago, following a successful period as the Vice President/COO of J.S. Hickey Co., Inc., an independent insurance agency.

In her time with us, Danielle has made remarkable strides, initially taking the helm as Marine Manager in 2018, and subsequently stepping up as the Regional Product Manager for the Logistics Insurance and Surety product lines. Her dedication and innovative approach have been instrumental in driving growth and excellence within our teams in New York and, undoubtedly, will continue to do so in Charleston.

Beyond her professional achievements, Danielle is deeply committed to leadership development and community engagement. She is an esteemed alumni of Munich Re’s Oxygen Accelerated Leadership Development Program and plays a vital role as Co-Coordinator of MRSGNA’s Social Engagement Committee. Her contributions extend to the Air Forwarder Association Technology Committee and active participation in trade associations across the New York/New Jersey and New England regions, further showcasing her dedication to the industry and community.

Danielle’s passion for making a difference extends outside the professional realm. She recently spearheaded an award-winning philanthropic initiative, ‘Together we Care’, under the sponsorship of Munich Re Specialty Group North America (MRSGNA), Roanoke’s parent company. This initiative focused on giving back to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, surpassing its fundraising goals and directly supporting its critical mission.

Outside of her professional life, Danielle is a devoted wife and mother of four, actively involved in her local community, and serves as treasurer for the HBT Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations to Danielle as she embarks on this exciting new chapter with Roanoke. We are confident that our Charleston office is poised for great success and continued growth with her at the helm.
