eBond and Surety Update Event in North Charleston on June 4, 2014
The eBond concept has been around for many years. As the ACE project is moving forward, the filing of bonds in an electronic environment is imperative. CBP has begun development of eBond which is set to deploy in January of 2015. At that time, all single transaction bond entries filed in ACE will require an eSTB. Further in November 2015, CBP will require ALL entries to be filed in ACE. This presentation will inform participants of the surety perspective and how your understanding of the process will help you maintain this important revenue stream. Learn how your software provider is involved and how the transfer of entry data to the surety for bond issuance will be seamless and efficient.
This event, hosted by the Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association of Charleston, SC, Inc. and presented by Roanoke Trade, will also encompass a surety update and speak on importer review and risk management solutions, especially in an electronic and changing environment. Learn what CBP considers red flags and what you can do to avoid them, as well as the information your surety can provide to help you to avoid those red flags. You will also hear about the issues the surety industry has encountered and what you can do to reduce your exposures while assisting your surety partner.
